Funny thing is, every major change I fought against, happened anyway and made my life better. Go figure. In fact, every time it happens, it becomes easier and easier to accept, even relish.
What a bore life would be without change. It is sad to me; from what I've witnessed through life, not too many people are willing to make changes. The only thing more painful than change is stagnation.
Is there something you don't like about your life? yourself? your world? Change it. Sometimes it's as easy as changing the way you look at it. Sometimes it's acceptance. Sometimes it's a hell of a lot of blood, sweat and tears. Either way, it's your choice to sit and complain about it, or get off your duff and change it.
I remember when I started the PTA program at SCF in 2011, I was so excited. After a couple weeks, I thought, WHAT HAVE I DONE?? It was intensely difficult, especially since I was going through other major, gut wrenching changes at the same time.
There was a time one of my professors asked: "Why don't you just quit?". I told him, you can kick me out, but I will never quit. I did not. After two years, I gratefully, graduated with honors. Today I am working as a physical therapist assistant and loving it. It was worth every sleepless night, stressful test and all the self doubt.
What are you waiting for? Your life is waiting for you. Fantasizing exciting changes ahead.
