It always amazes me when I hold a thought or opinion about something and then suddenly it is challenged. This is one of those times. I am all about a fresh start, at the same time, I am all about finishing what I begin.
I'm sure we all have someone in our lives that is the consummate "college student" so to speak. You know the one. Constantly changing their degree and never graduating. OH, how about this one, moving on to a new relationship before the first one is over...gotta love it. Always starting a diet, always staying over weight...The list could go on ad infinitum.
I do not mean to judge or offend anyone, I merely want to point out that it is good to finish what we start before moving on to the next best thing. You really cannot know what the end of the story is, unless you stick around to the last page.
Of course there are times to count your losses and move on. Just, finish this one, before you pick up that one. When we are young, it feels like we have all the time in the world. We do not.
It still surprises me when I look in the mirror and wonder what happened? How did I get to be the old lady? BANG, over night. THIS IS THE BIG BANG! Time just hits you over the head.
Keep in mind; when you change your mind, it is a new beginning. Also, a new beginning means starting over from go. Ever play a board game where you roll the dice, hit a certain spot on the board and it says: Go back to the beginning? AHHHHHHHHH, not fun. Just sayin'.
Fantasize the freedom to finish. 2 Timothy 4:7 “I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith.”
