The older I get, the more I realize just how much the same we really are as human beings. I can now look back at what the next generation is going through with knowing eyes.
Knowing it will pass, knowing if I am open, I will grow through it. Drama was the name of the game and I had my share. The secret to peace is, mind your own business and remember; what other people think of you is none of your business! How freeing this was, when I finally internalized it.
If you are confident in, and like who you are, it doesn't matter what someone else thinks. Do your best, treat others as you have them treat you. Most importantly, if you have a problem with someone else, the problem is always you.
I find it interesting, we tend to become really irked by someone else's "stuff", when it is our "stuff" too. Yet, we are so blind to the fact. It's easy to see in others, but when it comes to me; heaven's NO, I would never. . .! Oh, really? Look again.
Don't allow yourself to get stuck at an age. If there is no self appraisal or growth, it's easy to do. Each age holds it's trials and it's beauty. Focus on the beauty and the trials become dim.
If you want peace in your life, work on your "stuff". Stop looking at someone else's "stuff". It will become easier as one gets older, so don't worry; if you work on it, this too shall pass. Fantasizing the freedom to be myself and overlook other peoples "stuff".
