Also had a good laugh with my grown children over gravy. (Long story). It was a great time to called my Aunt Dixie in WA. As we talked I thought about all the wonderful things my husband has done for me over the years. Not only me but many people.
You know, it's sad to say, I don't reflect often enough on the entire beauty of my life. Oh, I know I live in paradise and have a good life, I mean the real, important things. My people and the good.
It's so easy to dwell on the bad things in our lives, our pasts. But, when you really, intentionally pull up those wonderful memories it changes you. I came into the office afterward and told my husband how wonderful he really is, and thank you. He asked me if I was on drugs! You have to laugh, but it let me know I don't do it often enough.
Fantasizing the freedom from ego to appreciate the true beauty in my life.
