My children and grandchildren are together in Tennessee with their Mamaw and each other. It brings me to tears, knowing they are together, by choice.
So many times over my life, I've been close to giving up. I did not. Every morning, when I get up, I want to quit. I have not. Every failure is temptation to turn around, push on.
When I was in school the last time, it was a tumultuous period. I was not in any shape to tackle the extreme program I was in. In fact, at one point, a professor of mine said to me; "Why don't you just quit? I told him; "You can kick me out, but I will not quit."
Today, I am working in that field, happily. Just keep moving forward. One step, then another. Before long, you'll wake up having reached your goal. All it takes is the first, then the next step forward.
Fantasizing the freedom to succeed even when it looks impossible.
