It is amazing to me how much can change in a year. A year ago I was
Bound by sadness
Bound by sickness
Bound by hopelessness
Bound by fear and anxiety
Today I am none of those things. I am happy, hopeful, healthy, productive and free of fear. When I started fantasizing about freedom, it meant something so different than it does today.
Today freedom means to accept myself for who and what I am, warts and all
Free to say what I want and what I feel without guilt
Free to make a mistake and not lose heart over it, or feel the need to cover it up
Free to be a jerk and not dwell on it forever and a day
Free to have fun, laugh and try something new
What does freedom mean to you? Do you believe you can achieve it? Have you tried?
I am here today to tell you, if you want it badly enough, you can achieve it. I know. I did. There are still mountains to climb and dragons to slay, but I've made it through the evil forest all the better for it.
It only requires the first step. The next will reveal itself to you as you move forward toward your dream. If it's become harder to stay where you are, than to bring about change, come, take the first step.
Fantasize freedom from your prison and a way out will appear.
