What I am so grateful for, is the group of people I work with. Our therapy department has a reputation as a great place to be. The atmosphere is one of camaraderie, team work and a lot of laughter.
While I muddle through putting together schedules and attending meetings, they all have my back. No complaints about my constant questions and frustrated huffing and puffing. They all have expressed gratitude and encouragement for the job I'm doing.
I believe the reason we have such a great team is; each and every one of us, genuinely cares about the rest. We are considerate of each other. We are encouraging and supportive of each other. We laugh at ourselves and of course, make fun of each other.
It is rare in this society for a group of 8 humans, all ages, from different backgrounds and cultures, to get along so wonderfully. It goes to show, it can be done and done easily. If only each of us contributed.
Many believe one person can't make a difference in this world. That's wrong. Just think; if this one person and that one person and another person. . .simply cared for those they came in contact with. We could revolutionize the world! Something to think about.
I heard someone say, not long ago; "You're not in traffic, you are the traffic." You are a part of the whole. If we all start, by healing our small circle of life, life would change.
Fantasizing freedom from hypocrisy, bigotry, competition and angst!
