Taking one step everyday toward a goal is manageable. As I look back down from high up on my staircase, it looks crazy high. One step at a time, the journey wasn't all that hard. I'm not at the top yet, probably never will be.
There's always another flight of stairs presenting it'self when you think you've reached the top. It's my choice whether to take it or not. For me, curiosity always gets the better of me. As one opportunity after another presents it'self, I can't help but wonder; "what if?". This is the one question leading to another adventure, another staircase.
Right now I'm on a particularly steep flight. Funny thing about staircases, as you accend, almost without realizing it, you become stronger and stronger. As you become stronger and stronger, you are more likely to venture out onto another staircase.
I feel as though, through the years, I've gotten stronger and younger everyday. It drives me crazy when I hear people say; "I'm too old to do this or that.." OR worse, someone turning 28, 30, 40, etc. . .OMG I'm so old.
Truth is, you are only as old as you tell yourself you are. If you think you're too old, you are. As for me, my mind is young, my spirit adventureous. Even during years on a landing are productive, gaining in knowledge, experience and patience on each floor.
Whether you are still on the staircase, paused on one floor or another, or still at the first floor, consider taking that first, or, 100th step. As long as you are climbing you are growing.
Fantasizing the freedom, strength and view, the climb gives me.
