Good, present fathers are so important for thier sons. They teach them how to be a good man. How to treat a woman right. They teach them their value so the boys don't have to seek validation in gangs or other behaviors that make them feel masculine.
A child who has both a father and a mother are more likely to become well rounded adults. It's a shame how many families in this day and age are fatherless.
I wonder if this state of afairs would change if fathers were made aware of thier great value, respected and encouraged.
As I sit here thinking about the father of my children, my heart bursts with pride and love. He is smart, funny, and loves his family so much. We love him right back.
I'm sure our children are the strong, hard working, loving people they are today because of the loving father they have. He's taught them so much over the years.
I don't have the love of a father, but I know there are good qualities I've gotten from him. As a child, I was the "boy" he never had. We worked on his car together, he took us on trips and taught us about many things. I got my work ethic from my father, as well as a booming voice and courage.
Thank you Dad for the good times, thank you Ed for being a wonderful dad to our children. Thank you loving, strong fathers everywhere. You are loved and valued.
Fantasizing the freedom that comes from a strong father.
