When my children were very, very young, no matter where we, or they were going or for how long, we always said and say today, I love you.
It didn't matter if we were angry with each other, or what the circumstances. I know if something happened to any of us we know we are loved. God forbid it happens today, but thing happen. Good things and bad things. They happen to everyone.
Show your love and appreciation now because now is all we really have. Don't promise yourself or others "I'll get to it tomorrow". You may not have tomorrow. OR, tomorrow may be so different you are unable to do what you say.
As Christiaan Barnard experienced, you could do or say something that changes your life overnight. Even if it appears to be a fabulous stroke of luck or something you've worked for all your life. You may be swept up in it and before you know it your chance to say the important things is gone.
The things of this world will pass away. All we can take with us is each other. Put people first. This Saturday I was suppose to work at our rental property in preparation for new tenants. My daughter in law called to ask me to come along with her and the babies for the day. I chose my family. That meant staying at the house until 8:30 Friday night, but it was worth every minute.
I'll have Saturday at the park with Chloe and Scarlett and my son Jimmy while Rachelle had an afternoon of primping and relaxation. Memories for us all. So choose wisely this day and smile.
