I like to write two way prayers on days when I meditate. First I write my prayer in my journal. Meditate, sit, then write God's answer. It never fails to blow me away. He tells me things, I wouldn't think of. I know. I was skeptical when I first learned this method of prayer, but it works.
In fact it's powerful. Also, you have a record of these conversations to look back at. Today, His message to me was; Pray big, dream big, live big. My question is, how do I stretch my imagination to the heights of God's dreams for me? I feel like, no matter how hard I wrack my brain, I get hung up in small thinking.
As I sit here, I can imagine large crowds in an auditorium. Speaking, people laughing and learning and having a good time listening to me. Then, in the back of my mind I think; but, how?
Several months ago, I was having a deep two way prayer. At the end of God's message to me, He said; "And don't try to figure it out!" I cracked up, because that's what I do. Analyze EVERYTHING. It's so annoying.
There you have it, I answered my own question. Simply keep the dream and let go of trying to figure it out.
Be open to experiences. Say yes to things that scare you, step out of your comfort zone.
Yesterday I had a client I was pushing beyond her comfort zone. She was not happy with me. When she asked, why are you doing this to me? I told her; "In order to become stronger, you must push yourself past your comfort zone. This is called the overload principle." It is true in all areas of our lives.
If we stay in our comfort zone all the time, our muscles, our spirit, our souls will atrophe'. They will become weak. The more you rest, the weaker you become. So, get up and stretch the limits of your comfort zone. Break free of mediocrity and LIVE BIG! Fantasizing the freedom to go beyond where I'm comfortable, be willing to look stupid, and grow strong.
