The sweet part continues to get sweeter every year. As two children turned into four and four children turned into six grandchildren. Now the 10 smiling faces I call my children, enrich my life everyday.
It's not that I see them everyday. It's that I think of them, pray for them and love them every minute of every day. Just the knowledge of them, makes me smile. The captured moment in a photo of my granddaughter, secretly, looking adoringly at me. The stolen kisses on their chubby necks, or the races through the park, I haven't a prayer of winning.
Each one of them different, each a treasure. Sure, I miss the late night talks with my teenage son and girly movies with my daughter. These memories I will carry always. Always I will cherish the growing relationships with the wonderful adults they've grown into.
My family, the loves of my life. The pain and the pleasure of family. All together marvelous. I'm so grateful for it all. The good, the bad and the ugly, all part of the joy of love.
Life is not meant to be an all success journey. It is the hard times that make us strong, the good times that get us through the hard times. All together the mosh that makes up a life.
Fantasizing the freedom to love with abandon through pain and pleasure.
