Just when you think you have things all figured out, they change. It made me reflect on times when I felt like I fit right in. There was a kind of magic in the arrangement of people and circumstances. Then it changed.
I have also been reflecting on the affect one person has on a group. It is easy to believe one person, namely me, cannot change anything. What a lie this is.
What we bring to the table in the way of our spirit, our energy, changes everything around us. Our staff has undergone a lot of changes, as has the kick ball team. The changes have not been bad per se. It's just a shift in energy and the feel of the atmosphere. For some reason, one I couldn't put my finger on, the magic is gone.
It has gone with Shane and Badieh, who brought something electric to the atmosphere that interacted with the energy the rest of us posses. It has shifted with the new energies replacing theirs.
I've seen this happen in my Toastmasters group over the course of the 7 years I was there. When I walked in the room, the positive energy pulled you in. As people came and went, the magic left as well. These are only two examples of how our environment changes. Children grow up, going through stages, partners change, our health changes, our financial situations change and our behavior changes with all the other changes.
At this point, I don't know the answer, I don't even know where I'm going with this diatribe
