I know this from personal experience. As hard as it was getting through a grueling college program at 53-54 years old, it was worth every minute. Today I have a career I love. I hope I will be working for a good long time.
You are also never too old to: Get in shape, fall in love, move to a new land, go on a trip around the world, learn a new, anything. If you've seen any of my blogs up to now, you'll know I just started playing kick ball at 56 and loving it. Was I scared? YES, I was, but so glad to have the experience.
Don't let fear or a case of the "what if's" stop you from trying something new. Just doing this little essay each day is new. It's also so therapeutic and fun.
Don't stay stuck in a rut out of fear, complacency or pure laziness. I always told my children "Do it afraid, but do it!" Now in their 30's both my children are pretty fearless when it comes to trying something scary and new. How about you?
