Do I sleep or get up and work out? write my blog? have breakfast? More than not these days, sleep is winning out. Don't get me wrong, sleep is vital, but it is getting in my way. I go to bed at an early hour, sleep 7-8 hours, I can still get up at 4 am and start my day right. Only problem is, after three days, I crash and burn.
My job is very taxing, physically, emotionally and mentally. Not to mention, the hours have been longer than I'm comfortable with. This may play a part. Any way, I just spoke to a good friend and mentor, she suggested I dole out my days, 2-3 days exercise, three days get up and go to my morning meeting, always make time for breakfast. I think I can do this.
Whatever it takes, I'm willing to try. Is your life out of balance? Try something different, give yourself some grace and get your groove on.
Up to now, I have operated on an all or nothing attitude. It is not working at all. Starting tomorrow, I'll try 50/50. Fantasizing freedom from obsessive behaviors!
